Asia non-Japan is still (possibly) in the early stages of a 20-30 year super-bull-market cycle. Commodities, property, stocks, population growth all rising quickly… education, health care, standard of living all improving dramatically… just like Western Europe 200 years ago post Industrial Revolution or the United States 100 years ago as they moved from an Emerging to a Developed market. Now it’s Asia’s turn. This year’s Asia-driven global rally in the face of so much Western uncertainty confirms this Asia-rising theory. The road to further Asian improvement will still be bumpy… but the direction of that road is now firmly set, I would argue.

This is Asia’s century: about time too!

Sunday sees the main event of the weekend though as a really nasty little low pressure system zips up from the southwest bringing more heavy rain and also strong winds across the whole country. The rain will clear east during the day, leaving a rash of showers in it's wake, the winds will be strongest around the coasts with severe gales likely in some parts. There's still some uncertainty over the precise track of the low pressure system so stay tune for updates on this.

Looking ahead into next week, it stays unsettled with more wet and windy weather at times - Autumn proper is back with a vengeance!
