Earlier this morning, Wikileaks began to post pager messages that were sent on September 11, 2001. According to Wikileaks, these messages were intercepted by an "organization which has been intercepting and archiving US national telecommunications since prior to 9/11." Some of these messages are from officials in police and fire departments, though a large number of messages are also from businesses. Others are automated messages to engineers that were sent by computers about network and hardware issues.

I have to say, it isn't what I was expecting. I thought it would have been only official correspondence, but what they have is all sorts or messages, from regular citizens messaging one another about random things.

Wow. Spooky. Although if one totally doesn't buy into the Brother No. 1 conspiracy it could just be that because of what happened on that day, the US Govt subpoenaed ALL TelCo and ISP carrier records and it's this that has entered the public domain.

I haven't read anywhere that the govt has anything to do with it, which is why it's so puzzling
