Does the Sydney nightlife need to get a life?

Sydney needs to have "real" nightclubs. All the places I have been here are more or less just a pub with a DJ.

Also, what's wrong with Australian people drinking that early ??!! Everyone is drunk before midnight, that's not what seems to be a good party. Best parties I had in my life were in Spain : we eat with friends until midnight, then drinking until 2am before heading to the club (and of course finishing on the beach early in the morning !). There's no rush at all !

So how can the Sydney night life be improved on then?

Would say : 1- having "real" places to party, not pubs. You have some of them in the city but it's quite limited. 2- Better venues (I'm speaking much more for the house/techno scene) : really difficult to see artists except once a year at the festivals. 3- Change of mentality : as I said before, people shouldn't begin that early to drink. When you go to a place at 11pm and there are already some people kicked out of the place, it doesn't make you want to party.

Thats a good point.. if its one thing I cant stand its drunk people!!!!!!!!!
