I'm aware of the Crunchpad thing, but it'll probably go nowhere. Can't the savvy Sing's getting caught. I'd be surprise if they did
Also don't forget it's a niche product
so US$500 is ok for that
It's niche was that it'd be cheap
niche=higher price
Right now it's around the price of a netbook. What's the advantage of getting that over the Joojoo?
What's the benefit of owning a kindle over anything else, yet it sells like hotcakes?
The Kindle has a definite value prop. What can you do with the Joojoo that you can't do with any other device out there?
Again, it's a case of what it can't do it's a case of what it can
most Niche products do a fraction of what mass collaborative products do
Just want to LOOK at it ....

mass function = PS3, iPhone, PC
niche = Kindle, JooJoo, ipod nano
Sure. But what is the value prop for the JooJoo?
The Kindle is a portable library
Instant value there.
The Kindle is not a portable library
you have to buy the library first
Value =
Having to buy the library isn't even an issue. The value of that device is that you take it with you and you have all your books with you in a light weight device. Something a laptop or netbook doesn't offer.
Looks good, seems to work well, wifi, high quality screen, reasonably big screen, customizable, will support the future (cloud)
also it has a 4GB SSD it that ain't a sign of it's intended market then I don't know what is
It's like a ferrari in that respect, overpriced yes, desirable yes, designed for the masses no, suitable for all terrain no
'Cept I'd actually buy a Ferrari![]()
So you're saying the big screen in a light weight device is enough for you?
No I'm not
I'm playing devil's advocate
You're against, I'm for
LOL!
Got me there
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have the device. Just not for that price
Seriously though, it's important that it becomes at least a mild success so this kind of tech can become more mainstream and cheaper
Just told DEK am looking fwd to seeing who wins this fight ![]()
I'd love to see a US$200 JooJoo or something similar
That's exactly what it was supposed to be!
LOL
Now if it was 3G compliant, I bet it would be sold for US$200 so networks could get you a contract
so expect to see a JooJoo 3G very soon
just like iPhone
And here's the interesting thing
If the JooJoo was an Apple product no-one would care about the price tag
they'd just buy it
and YOU know that is true
The Apple fans would. Maybe....
right gotta run, let's pick up this debate later!!
Ciao!
Apple fans already pay over the odds for their hardware and listen to the book of Steve.
