My daughter was showing me one of these the other evening when I told her I wished my iPhone could operate as a remote for our music. Seems like a very neat piece of kit.
So seems one can use existing speakers and amp and away you go. Very easy set-up. Control everything in the house. Add or remove sound in a room in seconds; play existing music or play directly off the net. I should become a salesman for these guys and I am yet to buy this equipment!
We've just bought one of these Bobby. Whole family's wild about it!

We have one too. Sonos' system consists of a wireless-RF LCD remote that displays the song library of a networked PC, displays a menu of Web-based streaming sites accessible without a networked PC, and directs music to wireless clients called ZonePlayers. The clients incorporate audio decoders, DACs and proprietary wireless mesh-network technology to access PC-stored songs and Internet music without long wire runs.
A Zone Player incorporates a 2 x 50-watt amp to drive passive speakers, and a version without amplifiers connects to our legacy stereo systems.
