So you want both your laptop and your mobile to be online (without using 3G) but typically it's not that easy in public internet connections or the hassle of setting up two devices isn't worth it.

This hand piece of FREE software allows you to take your laptop and make it into an open OR password protected wifi hotspot. Meaning any devices that need some internet love can go online easily too.

Now tell me, how cool is that?

Seems pretty cool!

Does it work only on Windows 7???

I can definitely see a great use of it, especially at home with my laptops, mobile phones and games consoles. Still, I need a first Internet connection to share this one to my other devices.

Would be great to know how fast is your connection sharing on multiple devices.

Had you already tried it unicronic? I'm a Mac so cannot test it...

Sadly W7 for now, but I'm sure similar solutions will be knocking around for other platforms

Also depends on how new your network card is, newer ones have the functionality built in, whilst older ones (Like mine Cry) don't cut it

Yeah, just need to wait a bit to see it on various platforms/devices.

It would be great to know the speed of your connection. If it keeps a reasonably fast one, it would definitely be worth to have a look.

I'm guessing turning your laptop/desktop into a wifi hotspot partislly depends on the originally connection. If it is a wifi connection going through might be not too good but a high speed 3mbps plus probably quite decent.

Yeah it should be. The way it is shown on their websites suggests that you can connect multiple devices at the same time. Not sure if it's really possible/efficient.
