16 years old Jessica Watson is expected to arrive tomorrow in Sydney Harbour Tomorrow after her attempt to become the youngest person to sail solo and unassisted around the world.

7 months and probably not granted a World record because of the following:
SSailing website Sail-World.com published an analysis on 3 May 2010 which claims that the expected rhumb line distance travelled by Watson is 19,631.6 nm, which is less than the required distance according to the definition set by the World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSRC), and that the journey will therefore be ineligible to claim world record status for round-the-world journeys. good on her for trying,  glad shes back safe...although  she was very young to be sailing around like that haha!   but i guess thats the point

It was just fantastic! The crowd was huge and there were so many boats welcoming her!
