Maybe I'm missing something... where would I go for the equivalent of the main site's 'Recent Activity' dropdown? I found a tab by the same name in the 'My Conversations' screen but I don't think it listed all the places where I'd posted that had new messages...

Also how are the topics sorted on the main page? Most recent new post, or just chronologically by when they were started?

My first impression is that it's somewhat difficult to navigate, similar to what superking said. My Second first impression is that it's bearing on twitter a bit.. was this intentional?

Argh... yes, this enter, (shift+enter) thing is annoying!

I like the ability to share all over the web.. but what exactly does it share? Is it a link to the discussion, or a sort of partial-embed thingy?

Might I suggest the ability to try different skins/layouts/etc, a bit more choice to customise would be ideal, and more appeasing to the target users.

Also, Is there a way to close discussions? If this is for fast, efficient conversations, would it be better to have this ability so the topics dont drag on and on and become more like Tangler (forums)...

And are discussions public or private? Is there an ability to do that?

Also.. (I know, i'm dragging on.. i'll stop soon)... -technical issue this time- I'm having the same problem as Tangler(forums) used to have where I open the page and (while its loading) it wants to stay on top of all my other pages(or whatever else) like a pop-up ad.. ugghh... have noticed that this only happens with IE though, don't have the problem with Firefox.

And... hahahaha.... I like the "What is the meaning of life" .... "42" in the clouds  the background is very animated.. I see a man vacuuming carpet, Mary Poppins, Alfred Hitchcocks 'birds', a cat thing, trees, a rock star, a parachute, a fish, even a dinosaur!!...  I'm enjoying this more than I'm providing feedback! and that's a lot! 

.... and there's so much more... its like one of those books you had as a kid where you had to find stuff!! I love it I love it I love it!!  LOL... back to business..

enter and ctrl+enter both post the message. maybe have a choice between post mode and chat mode.. you know what i mean...

And I'm assuming that your "Friends" are people that you follow, and "Groupies" are people that follow you. Aha! just realised that if you both follow each other, you can see a 'friends activity' tab... hmm... I'm not so sure I see what the difference is between the two categories, or what the importance is of having them...

Definitely needs works on the navigation side of things...

ooh.. more bugs... if you format a message (bold, italics, adding hyperlinks etc) and then go to keep writing or make a new line etc, you can't 'unformat' back to normal writing again

Might be a good idea to add total active users and total messages against every topic in the homepage to indicate the activity

Show the same hover menu (follow and view profile links) on topic page in Friends and Groupies tab on other user's profile. This helps users to follow their friends without having to open their profiel page.

For bigger topics, add a filter which says "Show only message from: Yesterday . 7 days . 30 days . From Beginning" (Similar to Skype)

Ok... So Time for some feedback. I'm sorry to have to say this, but.... THIS IS AWESOME. Ok, I said it. I don't believe I even said that about Tangler beta. Sofar, I've only found things that impress, and none that dissapoint... I am spending a good couple of hours today going through everything.

my favorite thing so far is in the sign up new user section, when typing email: "Yeah!" and username "All Yours"... A classic and enjoyable twist to an otherwise common and boring task.

I'm more impressed with tangler live, then with tangler widget. I will continue to prod and poke for the next couple of hours, and let you know what I find (I will run our company testing procedures over the site)

most active, most recent asc, or most recent desc?

Some extra feedback:

• The topic of the conversation (in the conversation lists on "Home Page") only contains when the topic was created (but is not labeled clearly) and does not have a last modified date... At first look, I assumed that the date on the conversation was the last modified date (last time someone added to) but later realized it is the creation date.

• After saving changes to the profile page there is no clear feedback that anything has happened. Possibly a redirect to the "My Conversations" page, or in the least a message saying that update has been saved

Will address your points one by one. (Strap in, this might take a while)

SK - Yeah, we haven't actually included a feature like Tangler Forum's Recent Activity drop down here. We designed TL with the intent for it to be throwaway live conversations. Used and then forgotten. Playing around now in the real life scenario, we do realise there needs to be a way to be notified on new activity. Definitely will be bringing something in that does that.

Topics on the Main page are sorted by activity in The Buzz tab, and by start time in the New Conversations tab.

Morgan - I don't think we designed this to be Twitter-esque, but given that the way both apps function, there are a lot of similarities between them and other apps.

I'd like to know more about your difficulties navigating. What kinds of issues with that specifically?

Sharing - yeah, most of the sharing happens via simple links, but of course each conversation can be embedded as well.

Yep, customisation will be done further down the road map.

No way to close conversations yet, but we do plan to include that in the moderation package. (Also coming soon)

All conversations are public right now. We will introduce other modes. I'd like to wait and see usage patterns on that one first.

Yeah, that's an IE thing. Mine does the same with most pages. Not sure we can do anything about that, but we are looking into it.

Yeah, good point about adding conversation stats in topic listings. Would be useful info to have when looking at those lists.

I also like your View Profile and follow links in Friends and Groupies lists. Why didn't I think of that?!

Excellent point about the time stamps in the New Conversations tab. We should specify what it is.

And yeah, another good one about no feedback upon saving changes. Will do something about that too.

entered something from homepage (as with twitter) and got brick wall registration. Why not use the easy version on this chat?

stoptheloginmadness - One can post without having to register, but not create a topic. Those have to go somewhere Also, we do plan to introduce Twitter login soon.

I like it, and I like the idea. But it looks like Tangler, works like Tangler (a single conversation within Tangler), and has the Tangler logo. So why can't I log in with my Tangler account?

Because we didn't port the accounts over. It's a different use case for each product although the core technology is the same.

Also, we have different sets of members in Tangler Forums. It just didn't make sense to do so, and confuse a mass of people in the process
