so I recently moved in with two friends and the house, whilst beautifully located, unfortunately does lack storage space

the cons of Ikea - not that many stores - one massive mother of a store in Rhodes, NSW

the trip there is long way from the Eastern Suburbs

the music played at the store is ... well let's just say it's not your everyday/favourite radio station music, and the bright lights must somehow stimulate the pupils & brain pulses that kick-starts in your body's adrenalin

ok, some poor sentence structuring going on ... enter left "flat-packed products"

so today, in our new house, we assembled a large wardrobe that was delivered yesterday from Ikea

the wardrobe took about two and a half hours (construction time) - excluding three tea breaks, lunch break & a movie break

the pros are that the wardrobes cost less if you're willing to assemble yourself

the products generally are good quality

I hate Ikea, but have a nasty habit of reverting to it in times of need. Every time almost without fail with anything I have had to construct from flat pack has looked like Ikea and lasted as long as the discount price I paid. They do produce a set of box shelving that I have been impressed with and the standa alone products they have normally last...but I said generally don't like it...always seems very flimsy..oh for the riches of being able to afford well made solid furniture..

I couldn't believe it when they moved out of the Eastern suburbs. Haven't been to Ikea since they have done that.

But yes, Ikea is the perfect solution for some needs.

And I like building their stuff. Love it actually!

Did you see the posters of children in the third world on the wall in manchester (I hope they're still there - they were 1 year ago when I went last)? It has a caption along the lines of "teaching children skills for their future." Well as long as child labour is helping the kiddies learn good work ethics as they make 5000 pillows/day, it's all ok

wow - great work
