Best Smartphone? Europe & Asia

People. What's best today? One of these? 

Do love my iPhone. But still wonder whether I wouldn't be writing more and fast with a BB Bold. 

The apps on the iPhone are endless. My latest a meditation one of 5, 10, 20 minute durations. But still feel it's missing on navigation. Google maps are great but following a little blue dot on the screen whilst driving is an accident waiting to happen. You can now buy for some $80 TomTom software for the iPhone but it's a poor relation to the one's designed for the car. Especially the GPS performance.

... and I think it's yet to deliver turn-by-turn with voice.

From what I hear some of the latest Nokias deliver great navigation solutions but actually navigating the device(!) is cumbersome with lots of unnecessary steps.

I'd go for the iPhone, except it fails in the pricing department. The monthly contracts it comes with are hideous (for my usage)

what id like to know is who makes a smart phone that doesn't fall to pieces if you drop it.. my wifes new 32gig iPhone lasted all of 45 mins... of all the functionality in the world having one shockproof is probably more important!

incidentally I just had to renew my sat nav licence on my n95 - now at $126.05 per annum.... shocking!

Hopefully your wife had proper insurance coverage from her carrier?

Is the sat nav on the N95 a great product? One would assume so if you pay that? First class turn-by-turn?
